Terms of service

The service

Run it by gives your software agents an API and an MCP server to create forms and approvals, send them to people as links, and receive the answers. By creating an account or using an API key you agree to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. You're responsible for what happens with your account and API keys, including what your agents do with them. Keep your keys secret and revoke any key you think has leaked.

Acceptable use

Only send links to people you have a reason to contact, and only ask for what you need. You may not use Run it by to:

• impersonate someone else or mislead people about who is asking;
• collect passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers or similar secrets (fields that look like these are refused);
• send spam, phishing or anything unlawful;
• get around plan limits or rate limits, or disrupt the service.

We may suspend links or accounts that break these rules, including after a report from someone who received a link.

Your data and the people who answer

You decide what to ask and what to do with the answers, so you're the controller of that data and responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it. We process it for you as described in the privacy policy. Every page shows your verified account name so people know who is asking.

Plans and billing

Free accounts get 100 requests a month. Builder ($3 a month) and Pro ($5 a month) are monthly subscriptions sold through Polar, our merchant of record, which also handles taxes and invoices. The limits of each plan are on the pricing page.

A request is one form or approval your agent creates. When you reach your plan's limit, new requests are refused until the period resets or you upgrade; links you've already sent keep working. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and your answers safe, but it's provided as is, without a guarantee of availability. We may change or discontinue features; if a change affects a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance by email.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using Run it by at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms. When an account is closed, its links stop working.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the last update.
